IRON TIGER’S BRANKO BUSICK IS HEADED TO BELLATOR MMA!
It’s not every day you get to make your pro debut on one of the biggest stages in mixed martial arts, but that’s exactly how Branko Busick’s dream is coming true.
On Friday April 21st, he will be stepping in the Mohegan Sun Arena to take on Tyrell Fortune at Bellator 178.
Branko was originally slated to make his light heavyweight debut at Iron Tiger Fight Series 72 in Akron, Ohio but due to his opponent getting injured, the bout was cancelled. Despite efforts to find him another opponent, IT Fight Series 72 came and went without Busick on the card.
Despite experiencing the disappointment of having your fight called off, Busick’s luck quickly turned around when Bellator MMA, one of the world’s premier MMA promotions, needed a fighter replacement for their undercard in two weeks.
Iron Tigers’ Aaron Garrett sat down with Branko to talk to him about his big opportunity…
“I am ready to show everyone who is Branko Busick is. This is a dream come true for me. I know fights sometimes get cancelled and that’s part of the business so I just chalked that one up and I was ready for the next one. I didn’t realize that the next one would be with Bellator though. I am so grateful for Scott Sheeley and IT Fight series for giving me this opportunity and helping prepare me for this moment.”
Alliance MMA President Rob Haydak weighed in on yet another Alliance MMA prospect moving on up to one of the big shows…
“At Alliance, we’re committed to providing the top MMA prospects around the country a platform to get to the next level,” said Haydak. “Branko is another great example of how we’re getting these athletes the exposure they need to get to such a prestigious organization like Bellator. Iron Tiger is really at the forefront of great things heading to Ohio. We are fully committed to work along Scott Sheeley and his team to elevate the level of promotion and exposure needed to propel more prospects to the UFC and Bellator.”
To watch Busick take on Fortune at Bellator 178 LIVE and ONLY on Spike TV, tune in on April 21st!
